Wow that was fast!  It truly feels like yesterday was the July 4th holiday.  Today we're stocking coolers for the upcoming Labor Day Weekend, WTF! Tonight we have DJ Doug and Hannaniah Whitley in the Cabaret.  Sunday is the first ever Tea Dance at the Dunes Pool 4-9p... WET TEA! It's July 11.. I'm totally sure that yesterday was June 15.. where has the last month gone? Despite a cool start to the summer, the July 4th holiday rolled in on a warm sunny weekend.. thank you weather gods!  Amazing (and hot) crowds every day! Thanks to an amazing staff that worked doubles everyday.. and WOW to the DJ line up:  Ralphi, Roland, Paulo, Seth and Theresa - plus Amy & Freddy, Kelly & Rick and Hannaniah Whitley all in the cabaret -- Amazing talent! Employee turnabout was Thursday July 9th, proceeds benefiting Wishbone Pet Rescue.. kudos to the staff for dressing and performing in drag for charity.. we raised over $2800! What's ahead: The Dunes Pool is open everyday 10am to dusk with the bar open 11-7.. food service from the Blue Frog is available Wednesday - Monday 10:30-5:30p. Every Wednesday is the Pool Cookout and drag queen Bingo benefiting Westshore Aware 5:30-8p. Karaoke continues every Thursday 9p. Tea Dance every Sunday 4-9p

It was a long winter, but summer seems to be rushing by quickly!  Not sure the weather is the best it could be, but when you're at the Dunes we treat everyday like it is the most beautiful of days, sunny, warm and full of fun!  "It's always sunny in Saugatuck!" Have you been in and met the 2015 summer staff? Returning this year: Jeff, Todd, Jackson, Aaron, Mikey, Tyler, DW, Dan, Robbie and Keller.  New to us this year are Dino and Nick!  Plus newbie food runner Trevor (he does tricks BTW).  Be sure to say hi and introduce yourself. Whats on schedule at the Dunes Resort: The Dunes is open 9am - 2am everyday! The Dunes Pool and Bar (Splash) is also open everyday.  The Pool opens at 10am and the Bar 11am - 7pm with the pool closing at dusk. Mondays are employee day at the Pool, meaning $1 off drinks and 20% off Food. Time flies when your having fun, right? It's May 26 and the summer kicker, Memorial Day Weekend, has come and gone.  It's a blurr.. but in a good way.  The weather was OKAY, not good, not bad.. had better, had worse!  Great crowds helped us usher in a new season.   The Dunes is 34 and Danny, Mike and Greg have welcome their 17th summer season (year 16) -- again, time does fly! Friday kicked off with DJ Doug, the Men of Manwatch and Hannaniah Whitley in the Cabaret. Saturday was our opening day at the pool and the weather was perfect!  In the PM, we welcomed DJ Tristan Jaxx to the DJ Booth for the first time, with Kelly Carey and Rick SantaMaria in the Cabaret. Sunday was the first big Tea of the year with DJ Doug starting things off and getting it primed for DJ GRIND to rock the house!!  Amy and Freddy kept a full house in the Cabaret. Yes, it is May and the temperature is expected to be 70 next week... a sign of good weather ahead??  Last weekend was the first Tea Dance of the season -- thank you to all that came out despite the 50 degree tempts and enjoyed the outside deck!  DJ Doug was spinning and bartender worked the outside decks.. proving rain or shine, hot or cold the Dunes is READY TO SERVE!! The pool has the cover off and I'm hoping that the area is ready for sunning by the weekend of May 16th.. wish is our "Save A Horse, Enjoy a Hoedown!  Weekend.. think Country, Dunes style.  We have a lot excitement generating from IGRA (Illinois Gay Rodeo Association), MIGRA (Michigan Gay Rodeo Association), SCCDA (Second City Country Dance Association, WCC (Windy City Cowboys) and The Grand River Renegades.   The weekend starts with a meet and greet on Friday with Line Dance and Two steps class and Cowboy DJ Eric..
